Concept, design and produce a business system and promotional package for a Sci-Fi Film Festival set to debut November 22nd at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. My concept was designed around the premise of being abducted by aliens and traveling through time and space. Using a primarily white art board gives the feeling of weightless while the eye reflect the viewers experiences.
Death of a Salesmen
This is one of my favorite projects, we had to create a system of postcards where one back worked with three different fronts. All the patterns had to be created with paper manipulated in real life then again in Photoshop. All three fronts had to work ass a system and also with the back.
Ninja Turtle Playing Cards
Develop a full deck of standard sized playing cards The deck must follow the basic principles of a standard deck of cards. The cards must say the numbers at least once. It must say King, Queen, or Jack at least twice. The hierarchy must be easily distinguishable between numbers and face cards. The Aces must have elements of both numbers and face cards and the Joker must connect to all cards but be visually different.
For this project we had to redesign an entire book of our choosing. I went with the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The book is about an alternate reality of life where books were illegal and fire men where actually people who burned books. For this redesign the color red was a must. Using burnt and stained paper to make it appear to be the book the main character picks up and keeps for himself even though he is a fireman and could be put to death.
Arlen Ness Motorcycles
While in going to community college in the bay area I had the opportunity to work for Arlen Ness Motorcycles. While there I had the pleasure of vectorizing their logos, photo editing motorcycles, creating Email blasts, and helping with their 2012 parts catalog.
My first free lance job was for a small business owner, Kelly Sassman. She has a small Pilate’s studio on Fair Oaks Boulevard where I branded her business to bring it up to date. Her old system was done 20 years ago and needed a fresh, cleaner look. She had me create a new logo, business card and 4 posters to hang in her store front.
For this Magazine project we had to create a full magazine from start to finish with 4 articles written by our fellow students with the same topics. Our group had Sacramento nightlife so we focused on restaurants, bars and nightclubs, comedy venues and events in Sacramento.
Cornelius Winterbottom's Worldly Wonders
Cornelius Winterbottom’s Worldly Wonders is a Steampunk themed Apple protective case line, geared for debut at Comic-Con 2015. I generated an entire brand system with swatch book, look book, 3 textile patterns, 3 prototypes, and packaging for the final prototypes.
Jack Dusty & Co
Jack Dusty & Co is a restaurant and brewery in San Francisco. This was my first real group project where I took the reigns as "Captain", or Creative Lea. Being the lead designer brought on more challenges then were expected but I was able to take the project from it's initial concepts to its final prototype and design.
